Caregivers at Trinity Village Studios

 

Trinity Village recognizes that being able to connect with family and friends is essential to the emotional health and well-being of the people who live at Trinity Village.  We are committed to working with family are care partners to support these connections while maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.

 

NOTE:

During an outbreak and /or suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, the local public health unit will provide direction on visitors to the home, depending on the specific situation. 

 

Under our policy, a caregiver visitor is defined as:

    Someone that is 18 years of age or older.
    Designated in writing by the resident or substitute decision maker (SDM).
    Visiting to provide direct care to the resident.

 

Caregivers must:

    Be willing to provide direct care.
    Complete mandatory educational training on personal protective equipment.
​    Caregivers must identify and communicate in advance what type of care they will be providing.
    Screen in at the entrance with the screener.
    Commit to following the infection control guidelines and requirements.

We are required by the Ministry of Long-Term Care to provide education to each Caregiver Visitor on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment before their first visit. Our preferred method of meeting this requirement is to provide an in-person education.
